23 agentsClaude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI and many more

The IDE for running coding agents.

Run every AI coding CLI side by side, each in its own git worktree, terminal and diff view. JustCode knows what every agent is doing, so you only step in when one needs you.

For Windows (x64 and Arm64) and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel)

JustCode with three Claude Code sessions in separate worktrees: one working, one waiting for approval, one done, next to the changes panel.

Works with the agents you already use. 23 built in, plus your own.

Agent awareness

Knows what every agent is doing.

JustCode reads each CLI's official hooks where they exist and its own on-screen signals everywhere else, like Claude Code's ✻ spinner. Every tab tells you, at a glance, which agent is busy and which one needs you.

  • Working
  • Waiting for input
  • Needs approval
  • Done
Claude Code asks to run rm -rf build. JustCode shows Approve, Always and Deny buttons above the terminal and an approval badge on the tab.
  • Tabs named after the chat

Every agent has its own icon, tabs take the name of the conversation and status icons are animated.

  • Controls outside the terminal

Interrupt, Send now, Approve, Always and Deny appear when the agent offers them, with the right keys for each CLI.

  • Jump to what needs you

Attention rings and badges, and one shortcut to the next agent waiting on you: CtrlShiftU

  • One-click install

Agents that aren't on your machine yet show up with a one-click install.

Parallel agents

Many agents.
Zero collisions.

Launch any agent in a fresh git worktree with one shortcut. Run several at once, broadcast the same task to multiple agents and compare what comes back.

One shortcut, fresh worktree

Pick an agent, describe the task and choose where it runs: a new worktree on an isolated branch, the current checkout or your home folder.

Launch an agent CtrlShiftN
The Launch agent dialog with Claude Code and Codex installed, a task field and Run in options: New worktree, the current checkout or the home folder.

Tabs your way

Chrome and Windows Terminal style tabs on top, or Arc-style vertical tabs in the sidebar, grouped under each worktree.

Arc-style vertical tabs: three Claude Code sessions listed under the checkout-redesign worktree, each with its status icon.

Broadcast and compare

Send the same task to several agents at once, each in its own worktree, and compare the results.

Splits that follow your hand

Drag a tab onto any pane edge to split, or drag a pane by its grip to rearrange the layout.

Same workflow for every agent

Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, Aider and the rest all get the same worktrees, tabs, status and review.

Review

Review every change before it ships.

A changes panel with +/− counts, unified and split diffs and hunk staging. Comment on lines and send the feedback straight to the agent, then commit, push and open the pull request without leaving the app.

A diff of cart.ts with highlighted additions and removals, a file list with +/− counts and the commit panel.
  • Stage with precision

Stage, unstage or discard individual hunks, in unified or split view.

  • Feedback to the agent

Comment on any line and send the feedback straight to the agent.

  • Commit, push, PR

Commit, push and create pull requests from the same panel.

  • GitHub and GitLab aware

Ahead/behind, unpushed work, PR checks and review state for every workspace.

Git Overview

Your whole repository at a glance.

A commit graph with a lane for every branch, activity and churn charts and your top contributors. Open any commit to see its details and diffs, and every worktree is one click away.

Git Overview: an activity heatmap, weekly churn chart, top contributors and a commit graph with branch lanes, tags and authors.

Built-in browser

A browser your agents can drive.

Preview your dev server right next to the agent that's building it.

  • Automatic dev-server detection. Listening ports are picked up as soon as they open.
  • Agents at the wheel. They navigate, click, type, read the console and take screenshots through MCP.
  • Point at the problem. Pick an element on the page and send it to the agent.

Orchestration

Orchestrate.
Don't babysit.

Plan on a task board, chain agents into workflows and let them talk to each other and to JustCode through a built-in MCP server and the justcode CLI.

A task board that knows when the agent is done

Every task tracks whether its agent finished. Agents can add tasks and move them to Review themselves, and the whole board is driven from the keyboard.

Workflows that chain agents

Chain agents into a workflow, so one plans, the next implements and another reviews.

MCP server and justcode CLI

Agents can launch other agents, read their status, manage tasks and notify you.

$ justcode agents
$ justcode agent codex "Review the cart drawer" --worktree
$ justcode task add "Write onboarding docs"
$ justcode notify "Build finished"

Done alerts

Walk away. JustCode calls you back.

When an agent finishes, needs approval, waits for input or errors, and when a long shell command ends, you get a system notification and a sound you pick for each event.

  • Shows the tab name, agent, project, branch, how long it worked and its last message.
  • Click a notification to jump straight to that terminal.
  • Several agents finishing at the same moment make one sound, not a pile-up.

Click a sound to hear it.

Notification settings: alerts for an agent finishing, needing approval, waiting for input, stopping with an error and long commands, each with its own sound, plus a volume slider.

Remote and sync

Your sessions, wherever you are.

Pair a phone or another computer and work in the same live terminals while the host is online. Your setup follows you to every machine, end-to-end encrypted.

Remote sessions

Connect over your LAN, Tailscale or a Cloudflare tunnel, with a one-click install of cloudflared. Traffic is end-to-end encrypted, new devices wait for your approval, and tabs and git status stay in sync live on every device.

Remote Access settings: enable remote access, where it is reachable from, the port, asking before a new device connects and default access for new devices.

Cloud sync, on your own storage

Settings, snippets, tasks, notes and workflows sync through a private GitHub Gist or any synced folder.

Native speed

Fast, native-feeling and yours.

Real terminals on a GPU-accelerated renderer, inside an app you can shape to the way you work.

  • GPU-accelerated terminals. xterm.js with a WebGL renderer. Toggle GPU on or off any time.
  • Real shells. ConPTY on Windows and shell integration for PowerShell, bash, zsh and fish.
  • Themes and accents. Tokyo Night, Catppuccin Mocha, Nord, Dracula, GitHub Dark and more, with your choice of accent color.
  • At home on Windows 11. Mica and Acrylic window materials.
Appearance settings: dark themes including JustCode Dark, Midnight, Tokyo Night, Catppuccin Mocha, Nord, Dracula and GitHub Dark, accent colors and tab styles.

Privacy and security

Private by design.

JustCode has no telemetry and no servers of its own. Whatever it syncs or shares travels end-to-end encrypted, between your own devices and your own storage.

No telemetry

JustCode doesn't collect analytics or usage data.

No JustCode servers

Sync goes through your own private Gist or synced folder. Remote sessions connect your own devices.

End-to-end encrypted

Synced data and remote traffic are encrypted end to end. Even through a tunnel, nobody else can read them.

You approve every device

A new device shows a verification code and waits for your approval. Disconnecting one signs it out immediately.

Keyboard-first

Everything is a keystroke away.

One palette for agents, commands, files and snippets. On Windows, shortcuts follow Windows Terminal conventions, so a bare Ctrl+letter always reaches your shell.

  • Command palette CtrlShiftP
  • Launch an agent CtrlShiftN
  • Next agent that needs you CtrlShiftU
  • Split pane CtrlShiftD
  • Snippets CtrlShiftS

FAQ

Questions, answered.

What is JustCode?

An IDE for running coding agents. It runs AI coding CLIs like Claude Code, Codex and Gemini CLI side by side, each in its own git worktree, terminal and diff view, and keeps track of what every one of them is doing.

Which agents does it support?

23 are built in: Claude Code, Codex, Gemini CLI, OpenCode, Cursor Agent, GitHub Copilot CLI, Kiro CLI, Aider, Amp, Qwen Code, goose, Crush, Droid, Auggie, Cline CLI, Kilo Code, Junie, Devin CLI, Grok Build, Pi, Kimi Code, Mistral Vibe and OpenHands. You can add your own CLI too.

Do I have to change how I use my agents?

No. JustCode runs the real agent CLIs in real terminals, so they work the way you already use them. Agents that aren't installed yet get a one-click install.

Is JustCode open source?

No. JustCode is closed source.

Does JustCode collect telemetry?

No. JustCode has no telemetry and no servers of its own. Sync goes through your own private GitHub Gist or a synced folder, end-to-end encrypted.

How do remote sessions work?

Turn on Remote Access, then pair a phone, tablet or another computer. Devices connect over your LAN, Tailscale or a Cloudflare tunnel while the host computer is online. Traffic is end-to-end encrypted, and each new device waits until you approve it.

Which platforms are supported?

Windows (x64 and Arm64) and macOS (Apple Silicon and Intel).

How do updates work?

JustCode checks for new versions shortly after launch and every few hours, or when you choose Check for Updates. On Windows the update downloads in the background and installs when you restart. On macOS, JustCode tells you when a new version is out and opens its download page.

Why does macOS warn me the first time I open it?

macOS builds aren't notarized yet. The first time, right-click JustCode in Applications and choose Open. After that it opens normally.
